Hello I wanted some advice writer to writer I’m a Male(cis) and I always have trouble writing female readers.I keep making them Mary Sue’s by accident any tips?I want to expand my readers and it seems I only struggle with female readers despite many of them reading my Male reader

@Discontinued_Writer Hi! Good question - had to think that for a moment (or two). I guess my advice would be to create a character flaw for the person, whenever it has something to do with their looks or poor abilities with something. For example they could be "too tall" or "too short", or maybe blind from one eye with cool scar going across their face they feel embarrassed/insecure about(?) Have some story behind it. Whatever calls you and fits in your story. Have fun with the flaw, but don't make it as the main focus of the whole story. And I guess if you specificly want to get in touch female readers, I guess you need to throw some struggles that women have - such as periods, dress doesn't fit, some other girls talking bad behind her back etc. Obviously, these are just examples, but I do hope this helped you even just the tiny bit ❤️

OMG, your story was really amazing❤️! I loved "Where your loyalties lie" sooooo much!!!  Even though it's not written in my native language, I couldn't stop reading it because it was so easy to read, with the plot, the caracters and everything. I cannot thank you enough for writting it. I've spent so much time reading it (26 hours precisely) and I enjoyed it so much I'm asking myself a question. How can I live without knowing I still have the best story l've ever read to read when I come back home after school?
          I really need something more, like a sequel because I need to know what's going to happen to them after. Are they having children ? Are they going to be teaching at Hogwarts forever or are they going to do something else ? And I also need a chapter about their wedding.
          Fortunately, I know that you're currently writting
          another story like that so l'm really looking forward to it.
          And again, thank you so much for this beautiful story.❤️

@erynefrmntn I'm afraid I don't know stories that would have as much as of a slow burn like this one, if I'm being honest. Most of them are quite fast pace/they end up sleeping together too fast for my own personal liking etc. And majority of them are professor x student combo which sometimes creeps me out when they like to emphasize it. But that's just the stories I have happened to run into. I'm sure there are lots of great fanfics I just haven't run into yet ❤️

            Also, do you happen to know some other stories like this one (with severus, ennemies to lovers) that I might like and that you would recommend to me ? I would really loke to read more stories like yours but I want to be sure that they're well written and not too short. @erynefrmntn THANK YOU!! ❤️ It truly warms my heart to see anytime someone has enjoyed the story so much! English isn't my first language either, so I always needed to find a way to express myself and there were times when it wasn't that easy. But I'm glad it all turned out alright. Again, thank you for reading the story and having fun with it ❤️ I might do some One shots of Severus x Reader how their lifes went on after the story, but as for now I try to focus creating the Spin-off ❤️
