In all seriousness you were a big inspiration in my writing journey and I had been reading your fics at an age I shouldn’t have been . Also my standards were set because you genuinely had some of the best writing I have seen. Maybe, those sentiments will change, if I ever reread anything somehow.
Because I know you will not be reading any of these messages, most likely, I find it really funny how I had essentially stolen your character, Jeno, and her brother Epiales and put them into my stories (nothing was published, and by this I mean stories that lived and revolved in my head.)
(Also Im really interested on where you found the name Epiales from?)
Over the years the two stolen characters became their own and are nothing like the source material.
I vaguely remember Jeno being a motherly figure? That or some divine being. The character I made from Jeno is now Meng Yao, a goddess of fire. Basically if you took “motherly”, inverted it, and added unbridled power in the mix.
Epiales, the brother, who I remember just being evil turned into Yingyue, a god of illusions, which Im pretty sure both characters share? Yingyue isnt evil, but he does do things to make sure he gets his way.
So glad I ended up seeing this, I was talking about this with an old friend and I do think it would be funny for me to see Jeno and Epiales again as they are what eventually inspired me to write.
@250-TwoFifty Im very glad my writing inspired you!! It warms my heart to come back and see this (and more than a year later for you). I hope to republish all my fics as they were so maybe we can read back and have a good laugh at how bad they really are lmao. I like the sound of your characters! I remember writing a comment quite some time ago about how I had lost the Snatcher fic and was so bummed, then I found you again and was soo happy, but then life came around and I got so busy I forgot to keep track of the fic and I wish I had given more support :'(
I hope it's not too selfish of me to ask to be able to read the old version ❤️ I know you made a new version and I would have loved to read it! But I got really busy, and I'm really attached to the old one :)
I really hope not to make your anxiety pop up by making this request, I really love the way you write and it would make my entire month if I could read it again. Hey is Auric Adulation discontinued?
Since I'm going to be writing again, I think I have to do something really oofers to one of my stories.
I'm at a roadblock in Deal Breaker, and I'm thinking about restarting it entirely. Now, I know what you're thinking -- oh god -- and you're absolutely right. It is an 'Oh God' situation, BUT I did the same thing with Auric Adulation when I hit a massive roadblock and it seems to be going well all things considering. So for the moment, I think I'll be taking Deal Breaker off of publishing or whatever -- but before I do that, I want to know what you guys think. Do you think this is a good idea? I'm still on the fence despite things.
