Since I haven't been active for *ages* and I feel like I'm just getting out of writer's block, I thought I'd share some of my sort-of writing process with yall!
Often the first thing I get is just a single idea. No plot of any sorts, often a single character, scene or just a world which is why I have so many stories that aren't anywhere. The real ideas that make a story come to me as I'm writing. No ideas? Welp, that means no story.
My main struggle is probably padding out stories, all the in-between stuff. If you don't pad out your story, it ends up really short. When I get an idea for the plot it's often: "this happens then this then that" which, on its own, doesn't make much of a story.
I don't really have a method. In essence, it's just a bunch of ideas following one another. I don't dislike writing at all (or Wattpad, or you lot), ideas are just difficult sometimes. :)
Mini-ish writing update:
In theory, "Diamonite" is nearly finished though I want to re-write it when it is done (I have a lot in mind for the sequel). "Too Strong" should be as well but I'm having trouble with padding. I have no idea where I'm going with "The Clan of Keys" or "Claws Up, Teeth Ready". "The First Cyborg" is a goner. "The Gift of Magic" is looking good, though I'm also struggling with padding.
