Here's a little poem I wrote to encourage all believers in these dark times...

          	**Knock Knock**

          	Something dark is coming.
          	It's knocking at our doors.
This death was just the beginning.
          	It's a hardcore spiritual war.

          	**Knock Knock**

Don't mean to scare you, but the time is now.
          	God calls you His warrior.
          	Don't break your vow.
When you chose this life, you knew it wouldn't be easy.
          	Are you ready, child?

          	**Knock Knock**

          	It's time to strap up.
Tighten your belt and secure your breastplate.
Don't forget the truth you're fighting for.
Slip on your helmet and pick up your sword.
Are you ready for God's love to pour?
          	Peace is at your feet.
          	That alone is no defeat.
          	However, it's time for more.
Don't let that faith of yours keep hiding in that drawer.
Grab your shield and be ready to roar.

          	**Knock Knock**

          	Go open that door.
          	You're equipped for war.

@ThatRandomKlutz13 Very good. I know you hint at this in your poem, but of course it's a spiritual war against demonic forces, our battle isn't even with literal weapons against literal people, even though demons use literal people with literal weapons against us! We're like sheep amongst wolves, but we have a Good Shepherd :)

I honestly feel like I need to say this, and some of yall might not believe me, but it needs to be said. With everything going on in the world, wars, more and more celestial events, insane weather that is happening globally like never before... everyone can see something abnormal is happening on this earth. And they aren't happening by chance. Jesus is coming back soon to this earth, and trust me, there is nothing better than having a relationship with Him! He loves everyone so much and does not want anyone to be left behind. Please, if you don't know Him, turn to Him and get to know Him before it's too late.

She stares at her reflection, and what does she see?
Enough disappointment that could fill the entire sea.

It starts on the surface level - hating her stare and hair before she begins to compare.
Wishing that she could be in her friends' bodies, where they didn’t have to care about what they needed to wear.
Then she begins to reflect on her life and the desires in her heart.
Like how much she loves the idea of marriage so much that it sometimes feels like it could tear her apart.

          Guilt kicks in.

She stares at her reflection, angry at herself for wishing for a different body when she knows that there is nobody else.
That her Creator and Father made her beautiful in His eyes.
And that she should see herself as a prize.

She’s angry because she knows people whose bodies writhe in pain and would give anything to be okay.
She knows her beauty is more than skin deep, but the devil keeps on telling her that she is nothing worthy to keep.
She’s angry at her heart for wanting to be loved, because she knows that she is God’s beloved.

Why does it gotta be so tough?
          Is she not praying enough?

She prays for Him to take the desire away, knowing that He’s all she needs. And she wants to only want Him, because without Him, she’s nothing better than a bunch of weeds.

          She stares.
          …and stares.
          …and stares.

Slowly, she sinks to her knees, crying out with soft pleas. Oh, how the devil is such a tease, wanting nothing more than to make her question what she believes.

But God intervenes and reminds her that this, too, shall pass faster than the wind kisses the grass.

And that while she currently feels alone, He is right there with her.

And nothing could ever possibly change His mind.

Hi there! I just wanted to drop by and thank you for the follow ♥ I hope you will like my books. I am currently working on a new story for Camp NaNoWriMo and I would love to know what you think of the first chapters =^-^= Or if you'd prefer something that is binge-able and finished, I'm looking for fresh eyes on my Romeo & Juliet inspired romance (I'll put them in the comments)

❝ to be human is to be filled with emotions. let yourself free. allow yourself this necessity. instead of pushing the anger away or cowering from the envy, accept it as a part of your being. instead of telling yourself this is not who you are, give room to the negative emotions and let them pass by in a tide. we're a mix of good and bad both and sometimes, it takes experience to know. there's balance in everything. day and night. sun and rain. sky and ground. highs and lows. rise and fall. submit yourself to nature's dispense and watch yourself grow. ❞

❝ one thing i have learnt this year is to live and live in the moment. life is tough, life is overwhelming and life is a struggle. a struggle to hold on. a constant battle of choosing between what it is and what it should be. this year, you found yourself in situations you never could've possibly imagined yourself to be in. you looked for yourself in everywhere you went and everyone you met. you thrived, you survived, you tried - even if barely. for the year, days, life to come, live. live in the moment. stay. breathe. it gets better. ❞

❝ i do not know all the places you have been but i do know there is a place at the table for you. i do know there is room for your laughter, your stories, your thoughts about things, your unfinished sentences, your wildest of dreams. there is room for your presence. there is room for you to be here in this moment, for all of this matters, here at this table and every moment after ― morgan harper nichols. ❞
