It's the weekend, the perfect time to read. As it turns out, I've got 30 stories all packaged up into one for you to check out.

Earlier this week, the Wattpad Stars profile posted a new anthology called "The One That Got Away." It features 30 stories by 30 Wattpad Stars centered around that very theme.

As it happens, one of my stories "A Moment In Time" is part of that anthology. Check out all the stories below:

It's been one of those weeks. A week ago, I discovered the kitchen faucet was leaking causing some minor water damage. Replaced the faucet, and other damaged stuff. That was my weekend, pretty much, my head stuck under the sink with a variety of tools.

Today, the 1TB hard drive on my laptop failed. Hard. Fortunately, all my writing is saved and backed up but that means that regarsless of whether I just get a new hard drive or taken the opportunity to upgrade my computer, my writing will slow to a crawl for a bit.

What else can go wrong this week?

TechieInAK

@ToryQuinn LEt's hope you're wrong! :)

@TechieInAK please don't ask that question because anything that can go wrong WILL go wrong and i want you to still be alive after my exams, when i have time to binge your books

After a week with little writing actually happening, I spent the morning editing another chapter of Intervention. Or rather, a first pass to catch glaring problems. There's quite a few. It'll keep me busy for a few more days, this one.

Day 82

Three weeks have flown by! Whatever did happen to those days? Did I get anything done at all during these few weeks? Well, yes I did and I'm encouraged by what I see. But, it's hard work.

@TechieInAK That kinda inspires me to do something similar. :)

@Carolyn_Hill There will be those days, that's for sure. I'm glad I actually manage to get up and do anything this summer. Doing a journal has actually helped me focus a bit, not to mention it's interesting to look back on and see where things wrong and learn from my own mistakes...and successes.

@TechieInAK This is really inspiring to see you working so hard to achieve your goal. Brilliant. I'm so tired today, but I want to check out your work and journal soon!

With editing of Intervention in full swing now, I've posted an updated chapter 1. It polishes the chapter and changes a few minor things to setup for a completely rewritten chapter 2, which should be up by next week. I'll be posting the updated chapters as I complete the edits so stay tuned.

Been spending the last week or so doing edits. It's amazing how much time one paragraph can suck out of your day. It's worth it in the end, I suppose, it's just hard work.

@TechieInAK I agree, all that tweaking etc leaves me feeling much more satisfied with my manuscript ☺️

@KBMallion I know! I felt like I spent days looking over this one paragraph, tweaking this, changing that, looking up definitions and synonyms, only to get past it and finish the chapter the next day. As much as I hate editing, I do love the product that comes out of the process.

I know your creative pain, I really do!!! I’ve been doing revisions on my earlier works for months now. Some days, I can breeze through a chapter. Other days, I can spend an entire day wondering how the hell I can make one sentence better ☺️

I’ve got two chapters left... I hope to be finished by 2024 ... lol!!!!

            Good luck!!!

After a busy few days of little writing, I finally got in 936 words this morning. It actually felt good finishing a chapter I've been struggling with for a while. I love it when it just comes together, finally.

Congratulations! It can be hard once you get stuck, but it sounds like you’re moving again. Kudos!
