@WillByers_BuffBunny I’m sorry you feel that way. I hope you’ve taken the time to find how many hundreds of gay Will Byers fanfiction is out there. Nobody is forcing you to read my story. 
            
            Again i would like to ask how it is any different from when two straight characters are shipped? It’s fanfiction. Free adaptation to stories. 
            
            My character is a girl. I don’t see the need to change it. My book clearly states ‘female reader’ so everyone knows exactly what it is. 
            
            It’s not homophobic in the slightest. As I’ve said. Robin is still lesbian in the story. I am open on my platform to everyone, choose to read or not read that’s your decision. 
            
            Why don’t you the reader change the pronoun she to him if it upsets you so much. You have to do it with y/n anyway. 
            
            I also posted “so proud of Noah schnapp.” On my message board when he came out. 
            
            I looked at your page and I can’t see that you’ve written anything. So I don’t know if you understand how much time writers put into their work. I sit for hours editing and writing. Adapting the story and coming up with ideas. 
            
            Instead of putting people down for their hard work, especially when it’s something as irrelevant as fanfiction, Just move on. The world is filled with far more important things to be upset over. It’s as simple as clicking away 

@TayTrashmouth I saw your reply, and it’s still straight-washing. It’s offensive and it’s wrong, I get where you’re coming from I guess, but I don’t just understand why you can’t change the pronouns. That way it makes it more welcoming and accurate, without offending anyone. I shouldn’t have to just sit back and be quiet when something that’s wrong is going on. This book is still homophobic no matter how u look at it.

            In my book however I have created a new storyline where Will is not gay and has a strong relationship with my character y/n or five. This book is in no way homophobic and has never implied anything other than support for the lgbtq community. My character as well as Steve are both very supportive of Robin (who is lesbian) as the show is set in the 80s and being gay was a lot less accepted there are sensitive themes. 
            
            There are warnings in the description for all the topics as well as a mature rating, if you had seen the show aged 16+ on Netflix you would know what my story would entail. 
            I have many viewers and fans of the book that adore the storyline and the relationship I have built. I don’t believe I will be canceled for using my creativity and ideas. I see no difference as to when a fandom ships two straight characters to form a gay relationship. I truly and wholeheartedly believe in equality for everyone. 
            
            If this is a sensitive topic for you, I suggest finding another book to read, however other viewers enjoy my writing and I enjoy writing it for the viewers to read. I have not had any complaints other than yours.
