I'm a writer, writing teacher, essay grader, and freelance editor/proofreader; I have taught at two universities in San Diego and now teach online courses for homeschooling and traditional-schooling families. 

I have four incredible kids ages 21-29, and we currently live in the San Diego area. The mountains east of the city are our special hangout although we enjoy the beaches as well. 

I love to read, write, teach, blog, and garden. I love antique typewriters and dip pens with inkwells and fountain pens with italic nibs and gorgeous inks as I greatly enjoy writing longhand letters on parchment paper with a real wax seal. And I adore everything British ... except for black pudding and Cornish pasties. (Don't ask ...)

I especially love to read and teach Shakespeare, grammar, poetry, research, and fanfiction!
