I’ve made the decision to not be the girl that always chases someone for a relationship. I’ve done it once, and I will not do it again.

Today marks a year since I lost my best friend, my soulmate, and my trouble buddy.

Tank was an amazing little dog. He loved to play with a sock that had a knot in the middle because it was his. He loved to lay in front of a roaring fire to warm his little body after a long day of playing. He loved cuddling with my grandfather that passed 5 years ago, curling up on his belly. Tank loved me, even when I was a rowdy 5 year old, because we were able to grow up together.

Sure, he got up on the dining room table when he wasn’t supposed to, but no animal is perfect.

He was 12 years old when he died on January 25th, 2020. His heart failed, but I believe he just couldn’t give out enough love to stay in this world any longer.

Tank, you were a blessing while you were with me. You were my rant buddy, my comfort cuddler, my carpool friend, and my bed hog for so long. I will forever be grateful for you, and I will always miss you.

Have fun chasing all the family dogs that were 10 times your size, my love. Enjoy being young again.

If this costs me my follow count or story popularity, that’s fine.

I voted for the first time this year.

          I voted for Trump.

I am ashamed to live in a country that is so prideful on its rights of freedom, but turns hypocritical the second someone’s political opinions differ from yours.

I am ashamed to live in a country where my first election was spent living in fear of what people would say to me or call me.

Some of you say the nightmare is finally over. Some say it’s only beginning.

I refuse to be an immature child and resort to insults, bullying, and shaming other people for their right to choose who they vote for. I choose to be an adult.

It’s ridiculous. Learn to grow up and act your age, America. No one else respects you for acting like children.

@Krisense exactly. I can’t go to my place of work and not be terrified to say who I voted for.
