Spectre

Hey, if any of you are looking for another good paranormal read then check out @spinner13 and her story 'Mostly Dead Girls'. Promise it won't let you down :)

@LC_Ramirez In photoshop. I drew the silhouettes, painted the colours then added some patterns and textures before throwing a title on. The trick was really to use lots of layers, and play with layer blending modes. I hope that's helpful to you. If you're interested in my art I have a tumblr (spectre-draws) and a deviantart (the-demons-heart).

Spectre

@LC_Ramirez Yes and no... The difficulty with this place is the quality of your writing is only half the game, it doesn't mean anything if no one finds it (true of most places). I've been on here for years and I got almost no attention until some people discovered Aghast and it ended up getting featured (still kind of baffled by that). There are a lot of undiscovered gems out there. Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against the system but I know it can be very discouraging when you put a lot of work into something and get nothing in return. All I can suggest is being more social, read other people's stories, comment lots and make friends here, that's what most people do. If that's not your thing then all you can do is cross your fingers, and maybe you'll get lucky.

Hey. Thanks a lot for the follow. ^-^

I never read the book. Only saw the movie. I wanted to read the book but, talked myself out of it, because if I read the book I know, it will spoil the movie for me.

@ExoticFeline No problem! I notice you like Howl's Moving Castle, did you ever read the book or have you just seen the movie?

I LOVE TERRY PRATCHETT! Sorry, I get excited when I meet (or read about) someone who is also a fan. I love his dry sense of humor and his books are so much fun to read. I particularly like Going Postal, The Truth, and Unseen Academicals.

Spectre

Yes, he is amazing! My favourites would have to be Monstrous Regiment, Men at Arms, and The Truth. I'll admit his latest books have gone down hill a bit, but given the circumstances that's understandable, and I still enjoy reading them. I don't think I've ever found an author with quite the same balance of humour and message.
