So. There's been something on my mind for a good while now.
          
          What is it with abused/disowned/along those lines types of books? Along with Union stories? What's the goal here? Do authors just hate the shows/characters so they go out of their way to make the characters miserable all the while having every character be so Out of Character that they become their own persons?
