I'm Sophia Rivers.

I've always found it easier to express some things through words than I do through conversation. Writing gives emotions somewhere to go, whether they're beautiful, painful, complicated or somewhere in between.

Life has given me plenty to write about. I've experienced love, loss, heartbreak, change and moments that have tested me in ways I never expected. I've also come through some difficult chapters of my life, including losing My Son / Cancer and major surgery, and learned that sometimes surviving something changes the way you see everything afterwards.

I don't write because I have all the answers. I write because sometimes a few words can say what we can't.

Here you'll find poems, short stories, emotions, memories and pieces of imagination. Some will be fictional. Some may come from places that feel very real.

If something I write makes you feel something, reminds you of someone, or puts into words something you've never quite been able to say yourself, then I'm glad you found it.
