Hey friends,

Wattpad decided to remove my band of brothers/historical fiction one-shot book War, Wisdom and Wildflowers. I'm awaiting a response requesting explanation for what content guidelines it broke. To be honest, I'm shocked that out of all my stories that's the one that Wattpad took down.

I'm not going to fight to have it reinstated here. To be honest, it's just not worth the energy that would likely require. But I did want to let all my readers know, across fandoms, that anything on my Wattpad is also on either my Fanfiction.net account or my Ao3 (my preferred posting location, but a bit more selective of stuff I've got there). This includes my War, Wisdom, and Wildflowers oneshots.

Thanks for your support, guys, and look forward to bringing you more content soon!

@Silmarilz1701 I think at this point, Wattpad’s ticket system is probably broken anyway. People have reported the report button not working anymore on their end. XD

@SashaCrowne I really appreciate all the information! I did submit a ticket when I first got the email so we'll see if something comes of it. Fingers crossed!

@Silmarilz1701 ah yes! The suggested action would now be to open a ticket to report the issue because, at this point, the more tickets WP receives, the more they are made aware how widespread the issue really is.

I hope your book can be salvaged!

I sat down with the amazing @ethelwrite over at Astania to discuss all things writing, including the dreaded writer's block, how to write as a chronic illness warrior, and what writers can do to improve their craft!

Drop by their community for sure, and join the discord if you're looking for a friendly place with a lot of really cool humans whether they be professional writers, Wattpad ambassadors, fanfic aficionados, or new kids on the block just looking to start their writing journey.

I can't believe it's been almost a YEAR since we finished uploading Under the Banner! What a ride that project was with @AdamantiumDragonfly.

If you're looking for historical fiction that's on the darker side, I highly suggest checking it out. I've started rereading it and it's been a blast.

Calling all my PJO readers!

I have a little treat for you (and me)! Introducing a one shot book set ten years after Walk With the Shadows and following the one and only 'Queens of Clubs' Kitty Ellis!

I desperately needed a place to write some *comedy* and while this fic is not the highest thing on my priority list (don't worry Tolkien fans, that's still A Different Kind of Hell) I decided it was time to allow myself this little outlet.

More info is in the description and first chapter. But I hope you join the iconic "be gay, do crime" daughter of Tyche as she navigates demigod adulthood as bartender of the best Half-Blood safe bar in Washington, DC.

I've received a few comments recently that really got me thinking about fandom and how we interact with each other. It concerned me enough that I wanted to share some Fandom Elder wisdom.

This is especially for youth entering fandom spaces for the first time.

          - Vote on stories you read, no matter how old the work. Votes/Kudos/Comments are the "currency" of fandom and while it isn't required, most people would never accept a gift without saying thank you even if it was unexpected.

          - Leave comments/reviews EVEN if the story is old/was completed years ago. It isn't like Instagram where there's a faux pas on "like"ing old posts.

          - "Don't Like, Don't Read" should ALWAYS be your mindset. You can just close a story you don't like. You don't need to reprimand an author for having a character make a choice you disagree with.

          - Never hold chapters hostage for for reviews/votes. That's such bad form. Just don't do it. You're posting content because you WANT to. We're not owed anything (but readers, you should STILL review and vote/kudos because that's how you say thanks)

          - If you're moving to Ao3 (or any new site) make sure you READ the rules and FAQ. It's your job to post content that adheres to the culture of the site you're joining. Learn the AO3 tagging system. It does not work like Wattpad. It is NOT social media.

          - Be nice. Remember that writers are ALSO readers. We're all on the same side here.

          - Be civil. Keep scrolling if you get mad. You curate your own space.

          - Tag appropriately (especially relevant to AO3), but that can even mean just using "creator chose not to use warnings".

          - Remember that the online world does not cater to your specific wishes and desires. You are responsible for curating your OWN space, not someone else's

I hope this is a gentle reminder or first time crash course for anyone who sees it. Fandom is awesome. Let's try to keep it awesome.

@Mimi_Lind Thank you, though I can't take all the credit. Listening to many a discussion on Reddit as well as participating in it on discords help formulate the points I thought were most important

Migraines, covid, the flu, and strep throat couldn't keep me down. Had to get out the continuation of the Rescue of Maedhros. Time for him to wake up <3

So sorry to those waiting on the next chapters of Spirit of Fire and A Different Kind of Hell!

I've started working at a school and since schools are petri dishes I have caught an unspecified virus, Strep Throat, and Covid. The latter two at the same time [right now, rip :')].

As such, they will continue to be delayed a little why. Wishing you all the best <3
