Valley of the Sorcerer is part of the Tales from the Library series which takes place between the first two canon stories. Kai and Irene realize they're drawn to each other, but romantic sparks are reduced what-if's and pining #8212;so much pining! And, honestly, a future together is decidedly murky. Kai as a royal dragon is virtually immortal while Irene when she's not within the confines of the Library ages at the normal speed. A Better Way continues the adventures of the Red Diamonds (Caffrey Conversation series). In an earlier story, Neal painted a forgery of the Vermeer masterpiece, The Art of Painting. The original is in Vienna. Neal completed the painting but the con was concluded before he needed to switch it with the original.
