I’m sitting improperly in an office chair because I’m celebrating that I stop procrastinating my homework.

On second thought I sit like this all the time.

I just had a thirty minute argument with my mother about corsets. The poor wore them but my mom is like “no they didn’t how’d they get them on? Hmm?” Like dude it’s not that hard to put corsets on. She also claims that “they were too expensive” like poor people couldn’t make them. Yeah the rich had expensive ones cuz they’re rich. And the rich only had servants put on all their clothes because they a) were lazy and b) had really heavy clothes and they couldn’t put them on themselves. She also claims that they did make people faint even though that’s just propaganda from men at the time because they were all upset that women could wear what they wanted to so they tried to make them stop. People did labor in corsets. Even men wore them to tuck in their stomachs. If y’all want more info on corsets and how they actually were/are you should check out the YouTuber Karolina Żebrowska’s vidéo titled “How Victorian men taught us to hate corsets: the biggest lie in fashion history” and while you’re on her channel watch her thug Edwardian lady video. It’s very entertaining.

I totally agree with you. I watched a video on the difference of corsets in movies and corsets in real life and they basically said the same thing.
