Back To Us shows that some relationships are worth fighting for if only you realise where you went wrong and do your best to make amends. It also brings awareness to mental health issues, so bonus points there! You can see the friends-to-strangers-to-friends-to-lovers trope beautifully played out in this book.
Rules Don't Apply starts with a heavy opening about a girl living a “caged” life. It really makes you feel what the FL feels -- stuck, yet unsure how to live freely. The writer portrays the MLs in a great way, making them truly compatible with the FL. It shows that sometimes happiness can be found in simple things, and those simple things should never be taken for granted. I also love how each “rule” gets overruled by the MLs in clever twists that can even be applied to our real lives!
