She was a seeker, he was a dreamer.
          	She looked at the world with
          	bright beaming eyes,
          	while he looked at it with rose tinted glasses.
          	She believed in embracing the greys,
          	and he believed in black and white.
          	She believed in fate,
          	he believed in happenstance.
          	She kept her heart guarded, he was a soft invader.
          	She had deep-cut wounds, he was a healer.
          	She ran from love, he embraced it.
          	She showed him a whole new side of life,
          	and he brought her out of her shell.
          	She wanted a forever, and he had only ever seen it temporarily.
          	She let her fears cloud her love, he shielded her from it.
          	She tried to escape, but he brought her back.
          	She knew what she felt, he was just about to discover it.
          	She tried not looking back, he never looked away.
          	And when they finally met, she was looking at her world,
          	and he was looking at his.

You must be tired of hearing those boys talkin'
          They know you miss your girl
          Well you gotta get some other guy
          What's it gonna take
          Oh you gotta change your mind
          Oh you gotta change your mind
          (I need to find a cure)
          So you gotta turn around
          Oh you gotta change your mind
          And I need a little sympathy
          A little sympathy you get
          You get some sympathy baby
          You get some sympathy baby
          You get some sympathy baby
          And if I were your lady
          You'd take my pen lady
          And slip it on sometime
          Oh, I'd take my tongue lady

The realisation hit me hard,
          That I'm not searching for a lover,
          I'm searching for a person who'll mend my
          heart;
          I'm searching for a person and not
          searching at all,
          It's like I don't want to be lonely but want to
          be alone;
          It's hard to explain as I've always been bad
          with words,
          But not when it comes to writing down my
          thoughts;
          I've so much going inside my mind,
          At the same time,
          That sometimes I think and overthink about
          the pros and the cons;
          It's all a mess,
          I just want to empty my head,
          Get rid of all the thoughts,
          And dump them inside some cardboard
          box;
          I just want to focus,
          Focus on everything happy and good,
          Focus on the things which brings me peace,
          And instantly fix my mood;
          I think I'm searching for someone to whom I
          can say, "I just want to be heard, please,"
          And they put an arm around my shoulder
          and instantly put my mind at ease.

the day breaks
          at quarter past midnight
          with my body earthed
          to the bed and hers,
          to mine
          amongst all the noises
          all i could hear
          were the whispers
          of her breath
          as her palms sculpted
          and left behind
          crinkles on the sheet
          and strands of hair,
          like feathers
          on my pillow as souvenirs,
          the lights on the ceiling
          frames a halo for my angel,
          as she looks down
          on me from above,
          while her shoulder blades
          lean to kiss
          each other to unfold
          her wings
          as she attempts to take flight,
          and gets pulled back
          down to my hell
          by my greed
          for my hands sin
          as they dig
          their fingernails
          on her flesh
          tearing off her wings
          and leaving her scarred
          she falls back
          on my lap,
          her lips let out
          a whimper
          riding upon a whiff
          of warm air,
          still she smiles,
          with her eyes shut
          as i watch
          her from earth
          my greed being my pride,
          while i smile,
          with my eyes
          wide open.
