@floralmeqdows I'm back! Regarding Chinese phones, here's what I'll say: 
            Most of the time, I was using wifi in my grandparents house, and the restrictions are in place there.
            My VPN wasn't working, so my friend suggested that data roaming might work (from American phones), but I told her that my parents use Chinese phones in China (to avoid roaming fees), so that's not an option.
