            natasha stayed quiet , arms wrapped around his neck tightly . she kept her head leaned against his shoulder . " it was so real . . . " she said quietly , voice wavering as she spoke . maybe because it was real , or had been . . . at some point . " why won ' t they go away . . .  " she said , voice cracking slightly as more tears fell , her arms tightening around him

He could hear her slowly start to calm down by the way her breathing was coming down from its first pt rapidness . He smiled a little when she closed her eyes when he put his hands onto her cheek and her hand knowing that she was okay with him now . He waited there until she made an obvious move,ent d what she wanted , and when she leaned in to wrap her arms around his neck , he moved in more , wrapping his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him and gently placed his head a top hers .

            she slowly began to calm down a bit as he did , eyes closing again as she felt his hand against her cheek and him steadying her hands . her hands began to still after a bit , but the tears still fell . when she opened her eyes and saw him with his arms open , she stayed still for a moment before moving closer , wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning into him , head laying against his shoulder

            " i don ' t think so , not unless someone gives him that idea . . . " she said teasingly , smirking faintly for a moment . " he probably won ' t do anything . . . "

            " I don't know , Pete would probably make me do that so he doesn't tell anyone — " he chuckled , raising his eyebrows . Peter was a strange child ; strange , but nice company .

            she looked down at him as he did , running her fingers through his hair . " why would you have to run around in a unicorn costume ?? " she asked curiously , smiling faintly at the thought of him doing that

            natasha ' s faint smile faltered for a moment as she nodded " oh , yeah . . . keep um , keep forgetting about that sometimes . . . " she muttered , looking down for a bit . " sorry for bothering you . . . you probably have important things to be doing . . .  "

            he stayed silent, looking rather emotionless as he stared at natasha for awhile. should he be honest ? should he just lie for the sake of her feelings ? why did he even care if he did ? bucky sighed and looked away. “ i forgot how to miss someone, so no...i...i didn’t. ”

            " yeah yeah , whatever . " natasha said , rolling her eyes . " you ' ve been gone for a long time . . . can you really say you didn ' t miss me ? "

            he finished his food after a minutes and smiled."thanks for the pancakes".

            " Of course " she said , getting some on her plate before sitting down and beginning to eat

              bucky smiled gently when he heard the assassins beautiful yet tired like voice. 
             "  i couldn't sleep... like usual. "

            natasha hadn ' t been able to sleep , so she had snuck into his room . she knew he was probably awake as well , if not then she would just lay with him until she eventually fell asleep as well . she saw him awake however , smiling a bit as she walked over and hugged him from behind . she chuckled a bit as he did " your up pretty late " she teased

            natasha looked over at him as he came into the common room , shaking her head . " nope . . . i ' m guessing you can ' t either ? " she questioned , taking another drink of her coffee . that probably didn ' t help her not sleeping .
