Hey all,

I, like so many, despise filling in these descriptions. I never know what to write. Why I started writing? What about family? Who inspires me? I can look at these questions a million times and the same boring answers crop up each time. My father is a retired miner and my mum is a retired teaching assistant. I have been married almost 8 years and have two sons and a daughter. I read mainly crime and thriller fiction and can list tens of authors who I read.

But, the honest truth is that I hated books for many years. I was born with dyspraxia and attended speech therapy when I was in primary school. My mum would make me read aloud to aid my speech as recommended by the speech therapist and as a child all I wanted to do was play with my toy cars. So reading was a choir not a pleasure. It wasn't till my late teens that I realized that writing stories allowed me to live a different life to my own. A cliché, I know, but the truth.

So I hope you enjoy reading my escapism as much as I enjoy writing it.
