I started writing on Amazon but got totally sick of their constantly changing rules and indifference. So I'm changing to Wattpad.

I write because I like telling stories. I love coming up with the plot, doing the research, creating the characters, working out subplots. I even enjoy editing.

When I was a little younger I used to trek in the Himalayas, climb mountains, bicycle across North Africa, wander Death Valley's canyons, etc. So some of my stories involve outdoor adventures.

My first teen novels were based upon my travels. The first series, DANGEROUS ADVENTURES, is about an accident on Mt Rainier, returning an ancient talisman in Bhutan, native American beliefs in Death Valley, and an elephant skull high on Mt Kilimanjaro. The outdoors parts are very real. Teen romance is part of life. And the magical realism is for fun!

My newest teen novel, 2020: BEYOND CRAZY-I started because I felt sorry for teens caught up in 2020's craziness. Covid-19's horror, schools closed, and learning to accept that racism's real. Then there's pollution and Climate Change ruining our earth and its weather!

2020: BEYOND CRAZY is still a work in progress and I've been doing a lot of research and listening for this novel. I have to admit how personally painful it has been to discover how little I really know our crazy world. As I stumbled through this, I discovered my characters can cry, they hold each other, and most of all--they fight!

My adult novels are different, and easier to write. For instance, SERPENT POINT is a fantasy about revenge-revenge against our totally greedy, mean pharmaceutical industry. HACKER'S HELL was meant to forecast the upcoming loss of personal freedom and our right to privacy. Unfortunately, that prophecy has turned out to be correct.

I hope my writing is getting better, I try to learn and improve. If my stories seem weak, plots off the mark, characters unreal, the writing inept--please let me know. I feel old some mornings, but not too old to learn.
