          After a bit of a scare it turns out I am through to round 3, and with about 5k words to go am actually still on track to get this thing done by the final deadline. My last two attempts at novellas kind of wound up as novels, so we'll see if third time's the charm. There should hopefully be only three chapters to go. Four, tops. Five is way off.
          
          Congrats to all the other third rounders and happy weekend, people.

          -in which ale is consumed and revolution foments.
          
          Despite having an allegedly functional brain, it has only recently sunk in that the schedule of the ONC means I have to write something like 10,000 words (at least) this month in order to make the round 3 deadline. Given it sometimes takes me half a hour to write a sentence I'm happy with, this is going to be something of a challenge. Luckily, I loves me a challenge.
          
          Gotta go, need to write...

          -in which we really rack up the fantasy trope count with no less than a gnome, an ogre, an elf, a goblin and a (kind of) dragon. Oh, and some boring old humans. Boo, humans, boo.
