Just wanted to apologise to anyone who was expecting an update. I know I said I would but since lockdown has started again my depression has become so fucking bad. I have been writing but I don’t like anything I’ve written so I haven’t published anything. I am sorry.

So I live in a town called Richmond, it’s a Georgian market town but it was founded in 1068. We have a castle which is why our town is a popular tourist place, it was built by the brother of William the conqueror. Anyway, we have a popular myth about a child we know as the drummer boy. The story basically goes:

A group of soldiers found a passage but the entrance was too small for any of them to get in so they persuaded (or forced we don’t really know) a young drummer boy to enter. He was supposed to keep drumming so that the soldiers could follow above him. He did this but about a mile away from what we know as Easby Abby the drumming stop. We don’t know why but there are theories. One being that the ground fell on the boy or that the passage stopped, my favourite is the one where they say he found King Arthur and his knights sleeping. The sound of his drumming awoke one of the knights and that knights asked the boy of England was under attack, the boy replied saying no. The knight said that there was no need to drum for the king doesn’t need to be woken up and then asked the boy if he wanted to sleep with them until they must be awoken.

No one really knows who the boy was or what happened to him but all we know is where the drumming stop and that the boy was never seen again. We even have a grave stone above where the drumming stopped to remember the drummer boy.

Any how, I have wrote this because I low key want to write an original story based off of this but I don’t know if I should. I think it’s such an amazing and fascinating myth and I have some cool ideas how to use it to make a story. Please tell me if I should : )

Also the reason I love the Arthur theory is that our town has another myth that King Arthur and his knights are in a cave under our castle sleeping and waiting until they must return to save English from war.

So I’m gonna have a break from wattpad because my mental heath is getting really bad, my depression has become so much worse during the last couple months and I don’t think I can deal with the constant worry about me not updating. I don’t know how long I’ll be gone for but yeah, no more updates for a while! I love every single person who had read, voted and commented on my stories and I thank you for that but goodbye for now.

I hope that it helps! Feel better soon!

Okay, so I know no one pays attention to anything I post on here but I’m still going to ask you which story should I update next? I’m bored and I have nothing to do and I want to write but there so many things I could and I don’t know which one I should write. So what do you want updating?
