Zdravo, Comrade.
I'm Phillipe Radić, 13 years old, born in Buenos Aires, raised in California, emotionally confused, spiritually Balkan, and mentally stuck in a never-ending family group chat where everyone has strong opinions about fútbol.
My house? Chaos.
Let me paint the picture:
My dad is Serbian and yells at the TV during soccer games like he's the coach. While Hollering at the GPS like it meant to get him lost.
My mom is American and just wants us to meditate and talk about our feelings (which never works).
My brother Nico is from Uruguay, thinks he's Messi's secret cousin, and flexes every time Uruguay wins literally anything.
My sister Valeria is from Paraguay, fights with passion, cries during national anthems, and once threw a slipper because someone said Paraguay didn't qualify.
My adopted brother Amir is Bosnian, quiet until you say something dumb about Bosnia's 2014 World Cup run.
And then there's me, the Oldest child, the accidental peacemaker who somehow ends up in every screaming match even when I didn't say anything.
You think I'm joking?
Last week we almost started World War III in the living room because Nico said Uruguay would "clap" Serbia in a friendly match. My dad threatened to cancel the Wi-Fi.
Why am I like this? I don't know. All I know is that I call everyone Comrade, and I eat ćevapi with chimichurri.
This story isn't about saving the world.
It's about surviving it-with four intense siblings, and one equally intense dad.
So yeah. If you're into cultural whiplash, sibling rivalries, and fútbol meltdowns
Welcome to the family. Strap in. It's gonna get loud.
