Hi! I'm Paul Fairbairn, and I've been writing since I was eight years old, which is longer ago than I care to mention in polite company. My debut novel, 'Dark Places', has just come out for Kindle, and I'm expecting a collection of short stories to follow hot on its heels. I also a guitarist, and I've gigged with a variety of bands since I was about sixteen, covering everything from blues and jazz, to rock and metal. One of these days, I'll publish 'The Art Company', a memoir of my time in a rock band in the 1980s. You'll have to supply your own spandex and hairspray.

For financial gain, I work in Cancer Services within the NHS. I live near Durham in the north east of England, with my wife Elaine and Barney, a ferocious bear disguised as a Jack Russell dog.
