I don't want to say too much here. I would like to keep it mostly anonymous. Just know I've written other books (the one that has some reads on Amazon is significantly darker than this series, and it does have a Wikipedia page). It's been included on a couple Read lists. So someone is reading it...like one person a month or so.

Anyway, the stories I write will have have underlying themes, purpose, there will always be something there. I have to write that way. And maybe it isn't always apparent or maybe it's just apparent to me, but there is a reason for why I am writing what I am writing, OMAM included.

OMAM itself came from the concept that there are no recent and true American Fantasies. They are all basically British. So I had to ponder what an American Fantasy might look like. There would need to be British influence for obvious reasons but what else.? And that, is where the idea for the Lakota came in. That being said I didn't just make up Lakota things. I spoke to their tribal members, I read their books and books about them, I visited their reservations, and exhausted Google/the internet. So this story, although fun and whimsical and fantastical, took some effort to even get close to being able to fictionalize Lakota characters.
