Hello to anyone who reads this message, I am going to be in a writing hiatus(which i have always been in for the past few months) and would be unpublishing my books for personal reasons. Thanks for everyone who read my poems and appreciated it.

To all the writers there:

Why did you start writing? What made you do it? Or why did you choose to do it?

          My reason:
I turned to writing because i fascinated the idea of being able to put my thoights into paper. But as i grew, i continued writing because that was the only way i ever felt heard. Also because i had no friends back then. Now, i still write because i like how some random person on the earth would be able to find my poem and relate with it, appreciate it and like it. But deeper i know, even after earning a lot of friends and building good realtionship with my family, i don't really feel heard. I dont think feelings are cared about. Sometimes I feel like i just exist as a side character in someone else's movie. But writing makes me feel like the most important person in the world. Thw writing world is the only place i exist as ME. And not someone's daughter or someone's sister. I am just me.

" we are to hide because the devils are allowed to prey"

Some words I thought of just as I was reading the book "Kim Jiyoung, born 1982". Just into this book and it deeply occurred to me how misogyny is just so normal, so engraved in everyone's hearts that the unfairness, so open and blatant, shown to girls are seldom realised.

Girls are always told to dress modestly. Just so we won't attract bad intentions. But why are bad intentions allowed to persist in the first place? Why are boys allowed to oggle at a girl who might unwillingly be revealing her undergarments? I have always known to turn my head away and not make someone uncomfortable when boys' boxers stick out of their pants. Though I find boys attractive. I never tried to make them feel uncomfortable by my presence. But I was always taught to feel uncomfortable by a male's presence. Be wary of their proximity. Be doubtful of their friendliness. If we are always taught to hide, doesn't it mean that the devils are always taught to prey?
