@Nyhterides Hopefully my mood will turn a corner once I get this book out. I'm gonna try to do some readings. Okay, here is an except from "Road to Malthena". It's a mythic retelling of my first love in epic poem style. My books is named after the poem. This comes from part 9: So for the first time in my life I held my own hand and squeezed to my chest tight and dreamed with shame nova bright that I hugged your body and lost all sense of suffering thinking that hand that held mine was no connect by folly but a longing your soul did feel in the way my sobbing chest found relief by embracing that festering sharp memory

After a short break, Savage is back.
Lenny wants Sawyer to stay over, but he's afraid of falling in love.
“I would like you to stay.”
Sawyer lowered the magazine onto his lap and spoke through the butterflies, “I’ll be here, Lenny.” Happy yet nervous, he slipped a hand up and began to toy with the silver chain around his neck. A tiny cross dangled from the chain.
Noticing the cross, Lenny walked closer and uncoiled the chain from Sawyer’s finger. “Do you believe in God?”
“Yes. Don’t you?”
"My brother was a priest.”
“So you do, right?”
“No,” Lenny replied flatly as he lowered the cross to Sawyer’s collarbone. “I never did. Never went to church, never prayed. I think a part of Luke hated me for that. I didn’t care. My brother died a long time ago.”

Happy new school year to everyone back at school! Work hard yet remember to rest, as well. The time you have as a student can be interesting.
Although I graduated from high school over 30 years ago, I still remember the great times we had. We studied hard, but we also partied hard (I could write a memoir based on my 12th year alone!).

Is there anyone else unable to publish anything? For the past few days, I've been getting a lil' red Failed to publish part note every time I try to post. :( :(
@Nyhterides I've only been scheduling my chapters for the last couple days but the two I scheduled worked. Maybe try scheduling for an hour from now and seeing if it posts on it's own?? <3

Once there was a spider
With black velvet hair
Who ushered me into the parlor
Behind the winding stair.
He caressed me with fingers
Laced with gossamer thread
And wove a silky crown
To wear upon my head
He covered me with love
Till I could no longer breathe
And hung me in the moonlight
For everyone to see.
To educate young spiders
He plucked out my wings
Then tossed them to the floor
with all the rotten things.
My blood became his vintage
A fine red wine
And from my heart, he carved
A feast on which he dined.
He picked my bones clean
Till there was nothing left
Oh, how I loved him
Yet he left me dead.
