Hello, I just wanted to let my readers know that due to unforeseen circumstances, the next chapter of the Fourth Floor won't be published until Sept 9th. Thank you for your understanding.

To Whom it May Concern,

If you’ve stumbled upon Nikki D. Allen’s profile, most likely via her story WORDS A MOTHER NEVER HEARD, I just want you know that she reunited, unexpectedly, with her beloved daughter last year, in January 2021. I like to think they’re in heaven, as those are my beliefs.

I debated leaving this note on her profile many times, and wasn’t sure if I should or not. On one hand, it doesn’t feel like my place. On the other hand, she is my aunt, and she was fiercely proud of Nichole’s poems and the impact they left on readers once she decided to share them. While bittersweet, she very much enjoyed introducing her daughter to others. And she loved meeting all of you and making friends and connections all around the world—which is ultimately how I came to the conclusion that posting is appropriate. I think my aunt would want you to know that she did not forget her many wonderful readers, she’s just no longer able to write back. Through you, her readers (and of course, my family), both my aunt and cousin live on.

Thank you for taking the time to read WORDS A MOTHER NEVER HEARD. I hope it resonates with you. And thank you for the kindness and support you showed while my aunt was on Wattpad.

I appreciate all of you, and I know she did too.

I just wanted to say that, while it’s been over a year and a half since I read Words a Mother Never Heard, I still find myself often thinking about her poem The Tears of a Clown. Thank you again for posting these. It couldn’t have been easy.

I'm going to a book convention in New York next year... I was wondering if you'd like me to reference your daughter's poetry. I'm also going to be trying to get my book published, and I can assure you, the poetry in your story is probably good enough to get sponsored by someone.

Thanks bunches.

Hello!!!
I read only the first chapter of your book and I thought it was so cute and sad. I loved it so much already and I only read the first chapter! I cannot wait to read even more of it!
I know it must have been hard to lose your daughter like that. I sadly can't say that I can relate, since the only relative I've lost was my grandfather and I sadly never got the chance to meet him. But your writing was so heartfelt and real that I could somehow feel the pain. Does that make sense?
I just thought it was a wonderful start to an amazing book, even if I hadn't gotten past the first chapter yet. :) I can't wait to read more of it. :)

@Winterrose02 Thank you so much! Nichole expressed what she was feeling so well. It touches my heart to hear that you could feel her pain as well as mine. Please let me know what you think as you read it. I really appreciate feed back, positive or negative. Thank you again for your kindness, and God Bless you and your loved ones.
