When 3 or more people are in a relationship it is called polyamory and it is basically just when 3 or more people are in a romantic or sexual relationship and is basically the exact same as being in a relationship with one person but it's just multiple instead (not everyone in a polyamorous relationship has to be dating each other, as long as one person is dating multiple people it is polyamory, but everyone has to have knowledge of them being together and has to consent to the relationship otherwise that is just cheating)
(Also the difference is that a threesome would be more of a 1 time thing and is ENTIRELY sexual while polyamory is a full on relationship between them and contains everything including marriage and having children that people in monogamous relationship (a relationship between only 2 people) have)
