Hello, Nathan. I absolutely loved Contact.
I must confess that initially, I almost got turned off by the spelling mistakes but I concluded it may be due to errors that occur if one is transcribing from a dictation
I loved the world-building you did. It was really very imaginative, as well as multi-layered.
The characters had enough endearing qualities to keep me invested in following through with each of their individual arcs. I did get a bit of whiplash when ***spoiler alert*** I realized that Jacob had been killed off though. Also, i guess Eamon was written to be the "selfish jerk" but I would still love to find out more about his motivations and ambitions.
I work in the health science field but I am an avid science-fiction fan (dare i say fanatic), so I was critical of if the "science" in the novel held up. I am not saying I am a Ph.D. holder and i have no authority to critique but I was impressed by how closely you played by "the rules": O2 toxicity, comminuted femoral shaft fracture, weight bearing exercises & resistance training to counter osteoporosis induced by zero gravity, nuclear fusion & fission, etc.
This is my first time of reading your work, so maybe I am in awe of what may be mundane to someone who has read your other publications. It did seem well researched though and really made me wonder what you majored in, in college and what line of work you are primarily in.
One part that really got me in a tizzy, was when Logan requested the food synthesizer to 3D-print "fufu and vegetable soup". I know the character lived in the Congo at a point but one question I really have to ask is, personally have you ever eaten "fufu and vegetable soup"?
Ok. I really must end now. Once again, thank you for the fantastic piece of work you have shared on this platform. It really made my weekend.
Sorry for the loss of your Uncle and congrats on having the "Little" boy (no pun intended).
I wish you all the best. Thanks

@OkechukwuMuoghalu Thank you for sticking it out even though there were problems. Sorry for the whiplash, originally when i began writing this story, I was only going to kill the brother, but there were too many unresolved issues that I couldn't ignore. So to fix those issues I just killed them all. I agree that it needs to be revised heavily.
Initially, I was studying to become a pharmacist, I had good grades but couldn't pass my anatomy lab due to the fact that strong smells can make me pass out. No matter how many times I attempted it, I couldn't finish the work or exams in that lab. I switched my studies to chemistry.
I am a huge space and future tech nut, and it drives me crazy when someone gets blown out of an air lock, I mean where was all air coming from to create that much friction to move that much mass so quickly? Anyways, I felt obligated to research the science as best as I could.
I have eaten Fufu before, but it was here in the states so I don't know how close it actually was to the native dish. I lived in Thailand for a year and I am fully aware of how Thai food is served here compared to in Thailand.
Thank you again for reading this story.
