@belqees111 No, I always appreciate open exchanges—especially now, when the world seems to be going crazy and far too many people with unclear interests are shaping our politics and see war as a solution.
Learning about Islam, Judaism, and Buddhism is actually part of our religious education at school. The emphasis is on discussing other religions neutrally and respectfully.
However, there are always a lot of reports in our media about Sharia, which, as far as I understand, is a way of interpreting the Quran (?), and sometimes these reports are quite alarming. It’s often said that men and women do not have the same rights and that forced marriages sometimes occur.
These reports usually come from countries like Afghanistan or Syria.
There are even stories about women being executed simply for speaking to a stranger. I really hope these rumors are untrue, and I also hope that our conversation won’t get you into any trouble!

I know that our media outlets are increasingly reporting things incorrectly. That’s why I think it’s great to be able to ask someone directly how things really are.

Regarding religions, I see it like many others: everyone has the right to practice their own religion. The three religions are like siblings who have sometimes gotten along better or worse over the centuries, but have always remained siblings—and should act connected and respectful toward each other.
