June 1 officially marks the start of Pride Month!
We've been hearing a lot about trans-rights getting snubbed lately, in several countries, and I can only imagine and fear what things we aren't hearing about. While some things have improved for us, compared to years ago, other things have grown worse, mainly because of people who chose to remain ignorant or have a political agenda or are just plain f*cking idiots. Those people forget that when it comes to it, we're all born crying and naked, and death spares no one, no matter standing, wealth, ethnicity, gender, or sexuality.
We're all human, we all have a soul and heart, and NOBODY deserves to be pushed down and stripped of their voice.
So remember, even in the hardest of times...
... you are not alone.
... you will be heard.
But most importantly, you matter.
I'm pan and aromantic (flux), she/her. I'm in tune with my gender, sexuality, and personality. I'm me. And that 'me' is all I need to know.
Happy Pride, my lovelies.
Oh, and another reminder - the Pride Month dedicated reading lists are officially posted on my profile, where they'll remain for the entire month. The submission form closed Wednesday June 4. Please check out my previous post for full info and rules, but a quick reminder that this initiative is for any LGBTQ+ author and/or stories with LGBTQ+ characters.
