Hi guys, It's 2025 and I'm still here. I just finished another reread of How we were (I've been reading it every couple of years since Meg uploaded it here) and like every single time, I'm left feeling such a rollercoaster of emotions. I truly consider it one of the best YA books I've read still to this day.
Everybody in the comments is always praising and lamenting the loss of TQV, and I get it, it was also an amazing book, but I just wanted to take a moment to praise HWW. It holds such a special place in my heart and no matter how much time goes by, I can't get over the fact that we'll never get to read the sequel or the bonus scenes of HWW. I love these characters so much, and I would've loved to see Peyton and Layla being in a relationship after everything they went through (beacause in my heart I know they were endgame the same way Ethan and Gracie were).
I don't know why I'm writing this, I know Meg is not coming back. I guess I just wanted to commiserate and keep her writing alive, becuse she was such a fantastic writer, her books were so special and the proof is that after all these years we keep coming back.
See you in a couple of years xx
