Until I have a biography that's better written, here are a couple quotes and mantras I've come up with to help me through a current stage of healing:

"Saying you're only a part of one culture is like only eating one piece of popcorn; you can't have only one. It's why most popcorn has toppings... it makes the snack more multidimensional. As humans, we have dimensions."

"We become our own best liars, especially when the lies are in someone else's voice."

Here's a bit of my poetry so you can get a feel for the poetic side of my writing:

You're
Hurting me.
The more I speak,
The less I'm heard. Your
your grip cuffs my throat, the
real the absurd. I dream of death. I'm
not afraid to die; I'm afraid of life.
It's why life is punishment. I'll stay for the
strife. Everywhere is pain, but alone is dying.

Death is shame. If there's a way you'll
hear me, to hear that I'm in pain, maybe
at home you'll listen. You'll be my mom again.
The way you were when Dad left, in the one place

I ever loved. Purple is my soul:
strength and what I dream of.
