My name is Marlowe,  and I obsessively read and write. My favorite books are dystopian/science fiction or contemporary, but they're not the only type of young adult literature I like. Some of my favorite books are:

The I am Number Four Series by Pittacus Lore
The Legend Trilogy by Marie Lu
The Young Elites Series by Marie Lu
The Maze Runner Series by James Dashner
The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins
I also really enjoy books by John Green.

I write poetry a lot, because it's exciting and peaceful at the same time, and it has no rules. I'm not sure which one I prefer more- poems or storywriting, because I am talented at both. I hoped that someone would read something of mine and fall in love with it. I'm going to start putting some of my work here. I like writing stories because in the process, you realize things about yourself that you didn't know before. 

I can be a little nerdy sometimes, and new words fascinate me. My favorite word is:

Sonder- the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.

My favorite poets are Emily Dickinson, Maya Angelou, and Langston Hughes. I've always been curious about how no matter the amount of times I read their work, they're just as amazing as the last.

I also like to think of reading and writing as a special kind of adventure meant only for the mind. :P
