I don’t know but my heels stopped in place. That wasn’t even my name, to begin with. No one ever called me that. My heart was pumping hard in my chest. What the hell?
"Enteng? Sino bang tinatawag mo?" Sabi ni Sachi.
Damn it, I knew it was him.
His voice was laced with humour and amusement. "Oh…she knows who she is." I can imagine him smiling already. His voice is louder now…closer.
"Hera?" Tanong ni Savannah sa akin.
I rolled my eyes and sighed before turning to him. "Mr. Llamanzares."
"Mauuna na kami, Hera." Nakangiting sabi ni Sachi habang hinihila si Savannah na nakatitig sa amin ni Enteng. She made sure that I’ll see her gesture to call them later.
"Enteng is less formal, I think? I’m not your client either. Actually, why not call me Laurent? Only a few people call me that."
"Right." I fixed my blazer. I looked deep into his grey eyes. "Can I help you with anything?"
"Are you always this serious?" He was still smirking at me. He was oozing with male sexuality I don’t know how to even describe it. Is it his sandalwood scent that is making my nerves sluggish? Or is it his sensual voice that seems to awaken something inside me? Or is it the way he carries himself around me?
"I don’t see anything funny. Also, we’re not even close enough to be too friendly."
"A smile won’t hurt, would it?"
I crossed my arms in front of me. "Why are you talking to me again?"
"Oh, I want to ask you out on a date."
