Motaz Derhalli is a Canadian author. Writing short stories is his hobby. "A NIGHT on the LANDING" was his first work. He wrote it when he was in university, in Cairo, Egypt. It won him the top prize of five Egyptian pounds--a significant sum at the time. He has since pursued a long successful career in HR.
What made him decide to go back to writing after all those years? "My stories keep me connected to my sentimental past, and that's healthy, in my view." Nostalgia, he contends, prolongs life!
