But that’s just not true. Did those people read the manga with their eyes closed? Muichiro and Tanjiro are not distant cousins.
First of all, Tanjiro is a descendant of Sumiyoshi, and Sumiyoshi was simply a close friend of Yoriichi. Second, while it is true that Muichiro is a descendant of Kokushibo (meaning the Tokito twins are related to the Tsugikuni bloodline), Tanjiro is not related to Yoriichi. Tanjiro descends from Sumiyoshi, not Yoriichi.
