Ayyy, so I know I’ve been gone a while. There’s a reason for that.
I’m revamping? Rewriting? Unicorn’s Blood and maybe Bound By Blood.
I realized Unicorn’s Blood has a lot of problems. Mainly because of both the source material and my amateur ass. I keep running into problems with the Wizarding government, Voldemort, and the Death Eaters.
Cause the Death Eaters are supposed to be bigots, right? That’s how they are depicted in HP– families and wixen that refuse to move on with the times.
However, it’s so hard to write UB because of this problem. It doesn't fit with what is depicted in the books. The school setup is ridiculous, accountability is nonexistent, and even with the au I’m still running into problems.
I’ve also become slowly discontent with Harry’s characterization in this, and Barty’s. So I’m going to completely revamp it. Be on the lookout for chapters changing. Who knows, maybe Chp. 3 might actually come out right this time.
Regardless, I apologize and that is the current reason for my delay.
Bound by Blood readers? Expect a little bit of a revamp too. I gotta remember how to write children, and I want to redo how I characterized the Dursley family. And Harry. And the Potters. Good god it has problems.
In the meantime, I might come out with another fic. Or, at the very least, the first chapter of it. Tell me if y’all would be willing to read an au focusing on Slytherin House in the Marauders Era if Voldemort died before he could launch his blood supremacist cult.
