i'm indefinetly away, cooking up stories

Continued........

Also please realise that although facts written tend to be accurate or true from reliable sources, that those statistics are GENERALISED. For example, where I live Summer is December to February (February tends to be hottest). Now although Summer
          EXTREME temps: DAY= 50+ Degrees Celsius (DC) - Night = 4.0 DC
          AVERAGED temp: DAY= 35-40+ DC - Night = 14-24 DC
BUT, in saying that’s our average with significant difference in high and low temperature, this is NOT ALWAYS true.
If we experience a ‘HEATWAVE’ of 3 to 5 days straight where daytime temperatures are 38-45 degrees each day, even if no cloud cover trapping heat in overnight, the lowest night temperatures will drop to only 32-35 degrees overnight (makes our community PLUMBING COLD water actually run so hot you can burn your bum in the shower. The first 20-30 seconds of cold water will run cool where it has cooled in house pipe work but quickly warms to VERY HOT. So showers are Super Quick!). Being that this frequently occurs 2-3 times over Summer and the fact that we are in an Arid/Desert climate area, I would expect similar occurring ‘HEATWAVES’ to be experienced in The Gabe Desert too.
But I sincerely hope you get back to completing your story and continue writing as I can see you have great creative writing talent and hope you will create more masterpieces.
          Cheers

Hi
I see not much conversation activity has happened since 2016 so not sure if you’re still actively writing etc. Your story Ashes to Ashes... caught my interest but saw it was ‘Ongoing’ so I checked the last completed page (a strategy I use as sometimes I’ve found authors have actually Completed the story but the status has not been changed. Since that story says it was last updated 2016, I also thought it was a possible indication of the wrong status (as I see authors often put - on hiatus, discontinued, etc.
Anyway, I was disappointed to see that was as far as you’ve written but mostly I was concerned by your own comments at the bottom of that last page. You wrote that someone had corrected you about temperature of the desert and said it actually cold.
Now I live in Australia (majority is desert) and more specifically in an arid land area which our climate is very much desert type. So our Summer temperature can be as extreme as over 50 degrees Celsius during hottest part of the day, yet night temperatures generally drop severely down to as low as 4 degrees Celsius before dawn in Summer. This is where I specifically live, there are places in central Australia that get hotter and cooler (generally massive desert areas).
Now, not that I’ve read your book to know what you’ve written that you feel is a mistake, nor have I read the persons comment about the Desert being cold. But I’m hoping they correctly informed you that it is the extreme temperature DIFFERENCE from daytime to nighttime and Summer to Winter that are so climatically unique. I actually did a quick web search for temperature of the Gobe Desert and this sight had great graph and tables:
          https://www.amicusmongolia.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/mongolia-weather-climate-temperature-chart-graphic.png
Anyway, I hope you didn’t drop the story just because of this small detail and I’m hoping that if you see the actual facts that (fingers crossed) it actually does fit with what you’ve written.

Sometimes stories are really easy to categorize. Others are really hard :3... like Halo. I have it as 'action' but do angels and demons fit into 'spiritual' or 'fantasy'?

          *cue music*
          It's a hard knock life
          as a writer

So I've been doing some critiquing for people's stories, and I request that a payment of a follow be made. When I do a critique, I expect that people will stay followed to me. It's just weird. I just did you a favor by writing this big giant comment about your story and what you can do better, and you can't even do me a solid by following me? Not cool...

For all of you that did hold up your end of the bargain, thanks for being you. </rant-over>

@LemonNinja Sorry that people are doing that. I don't think I got around to thank you for your critique on my book *busy week -.- * But I'm working on everything you said. You were very thorough and I'm glad you took the time.
