Hello! Beth and I are currently working on another full length story (not POTO, but theater-related!) We're at the point where we split the draft into chapters. I just wanted to ask if you would prefer several short chapters (e.g. one conversation, one turning point, a single beat that's roughly 1,500 - 3,000 words) Or fewer, longer chapters (e.g. A complete emotional turning point, set-up and pay-off, multiple conversations and scene changes. 4,000 - 7,000 words) We tend to draft in the longer style, but I understand that can be very exhausting to read. Currently, the book is about thirty longer chapters. With the chapters broken up more, I can see it being fifty to sixty chapters. Neither option changes the actual word count, just how it's divided. I'd love to hear some input on this, because we genuinely have no idea!! Thank you for the support that you all have continued to give, even with our long hiatus! It mean so much, and we will be back soon!

omg, thank you for replying! We really appreciate it. Chances are, we'll go the shorter chapter route because that's been calling the most to us thematically and pacing-wise. Either way, we're so glad for your enthusiasm and can't wait to get the book out!
