Just a weekly update (so y'all don't think I vanished off the planet or something):

No chapter this week, although I've been pretty busy! I'm almost done a complete rewrite of the first chapter of Hesitant Healer, and I'm now writing the 3rd chapter of its sequel, Veiled Healer. Next chapter for Raven's Will is all planned out - and I'll be working on that this week.

If January was NaNoWriMo, I'd be in good shape, lol. And guess what? There's only 66 days left to Spring!

Niyeban

@KurokageJS That's great! I follow another author that did the same. =)

I look forward to seeing your future success! Keep keeping us all updated! We're all super excited!! <3

@Niyeban Aww, thanks! I'll probably keep the first draft on Wattpad for free, but I'm working at revising it into something publish-worthy. :)

@KurokageJS Have you mentioned what you plan to do with Hesitant Healer? Keep it on Wattpad? Submit to a traditional publisher? Self-publish?

I would have totally bought it (and would still buy it!) if I saw it in a bookstore!

I obsolutely adore Eliona's Gate. The story didnt focus on the character keep trying to become a plain ordinary boring badass player. Instead, he took the time to actually enjoy the game, interact with people and NPCs, and gradually improve himself both in game and in reality.

I cant wait for the sequel. Love your book,, and you of course ❤

KurokageJS

@Michaella_Goldstein  Thanks very much!  <3

KurokageJS

@Dakosa111 Wow, thank you! And no worries of that - I will always be writing in some way or another. I love stories too much to ever stop!

I saw on your "to read list" that you were planning on reading Shadow Rogue. I don't recommend it. there is a gem in the story talking about how the MC is doing better in the game than his female teammate because women are inherently weaker, when in reality it's because he is a literal trained assassin playing a rogue... And another gem where he plays the "big strong man" rescuing a female restaurant owner (who's literally holding a kitchen knife) from an attacker... And then declaring he was going to protect said restaurant owners daughter since she's such a helpless innocent girl.... It made me wanna kick the authors ass and show him just how "weak" us women are... Sorry for the rant I just want you to unknowingly subject yourself that that bullshit

KurokageJS

@Zym0879 It's definitely possible ... one of my old schoolfriends is a Strongwoman competitor. It's insane what she can do!

@KurokageJS also while we start out with less physical strength, if we work at it we are capable of being just as strong males. I'd like to see that author go up against a female MMA fighter and see if he still thinks women are weak lol

@Zym0879 Lol, yikes. I can see how that would be very off putting. Usually it's the opposite side of the spectrum, where a tiny waif of a girl is wading through hordes of giant brutes and easily beating them in a unrealistic fistfight. That annoys me like nothing else, but having a male MC treat females that way would be even more irritating. Yes, women have less physical strength then men, but that's just one tiny aspect - what about intelligence, resilience, attention to detail, or empathy? All those things can tip the balance in their favour. The MC may be a trained assassin, but he can still be outwitted by a clever woman. Lolol, now I just went into my own rant. I have a bit of a bias against female characters, and that's entirely because how they are written to be either unrealistically overpowered (I'll let this slide to some degree if the genre is fantasy or sci-fi), or weak and helpless and needing to be saved by some man, or just there to fall in love with a more important character. I can rant on this for days, hahaha

Hey, some good news, I think. HESITANT HEALER is now being posted on RoyalRoad as well!

I'm pretty new to that site, so fingers crossed that this will turn out okay, lol.

Also, the first chapter for VEILED HEALER is written, and it totally starts off with a bang! I'm even more excited about this book than I was with HH!

Next project on the line: write RW's next chapter :)

@KurokageJS Such a great story! I am sending my best wishes for your future success! <3

Hey all,

I just posted the last chapter to HESITANT HEALER!! This book is now officially completed!

Going forward, I'll be focusing on posting updates to RAVEN'S Will. I don't think I'll be able to manage weekly updates for this one, as I'm also going to be working on rewriting and revising HH and getting a head start on its sequel. I will, however, aim to update RW every couple of weeks or so.

Keep an eye out of future updates. I have big plans for 2020! :)

@KurokageJS Ooh I'm excited for your big 2020 plans!!

New update out for HESITANT HEALER! One chapter left to go!

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday! I had the loveliest time of just chillin' with my family and doing nothing all day except eat, nap and watch movies. And on boxing day, i went and bought a bunch of socks. I mean, they were really nice wool ones, and they were on a great sale. ;'D

All right. I caved. I let the ninja out for exactly 8 seconds, and he managed to sneak in a second chapter in today's update. :) There are two more chapters left to go!
