I hate James Bond fan fiction. Normally it's full of ridiculous gadgets stupid movie bond cliches and an M that panders to bonds every wish........

This is exactly what I expected when started reading Yesterday's enemy, and I have to say I was completely amazed to find someone who could recreate the world of Bond as well as Ian Fleming. For me you have really captured the essence of the James Bond that I love to read. The story was very well paced and thought out, the way you described every aspect of the scenes was a joy to read and totally immersed me into the world. Your use of gadgets were nicely understated and grounded in the real world and focuses the reader more on the abilities of Bond as an agent more than someone playing with ever more elaborate toys. The Akaad was again perfectly understated which I found made him feel even more dangerous and believable in this real world scenario. Samiyah was a classic Bond girl, independent and strong but still a woman who was bond equal and not just eye candy like so many other fanfiction stories like to portray. I also loved the political and historical content of the story which gave a better understanding of the motivations of the cast.

In short I found Yesterday's Enemy a compelling read that was impossible to put down. It captured the very essence of Ian Flemings Bond, and wasn't ashamed to stick to the original feel of Ian Flemings world. My only problem with the story was that it was over too soon! I wanted to dive deeper into this murky world that you have obviously painstakingly crafted. I can't wait to read more of your work (especially the two other Bond titles in your account) and I will even be reading your Indiana Jones work too.

Please do not stop producing such fantastic work, and hopefully your approach to the Bond genre will rub off onto others and I can really enjoy more works of high quality, true Bond novels.

          Many thanks
