hAPPY (late) BIRTHDAY MY CHILD :'')
you've gotta stuff yourself with amazing food because, well, not everyday is your birthday :)). istg, you better not be studying on your bday or i'm literally going to get the next flight to canada and beat your ass >:(. watch some kdramas, listen to some bts songs, watch kpop crack videos, and rELAX. i mean, you're 17 now, you've gotta reward yourself somehow- like, reward yourself for working so hard last year, getting sUCH a high sat score, for struggling in school and pushing yourself at your own pace. i literally cannot describe how proud i am of you- I still remember when we both wouldn't stop complaining about our parents (we still do pfft), asian expectations, school stress, and so much more- literally, you suffered through it all, did so well in school (don't lie to me, i know you get amazing grades), AND did well on one of the biggest exams for American high schoolers when you're canadian. you know how amazing that is?!

oml i'm getting teary-eyed, that was kinda emotional. but seriously, i see you as someone who achieves to strive, someone who pushes through and gets stronger every time they encounter a struggle. i know you, leah. seriously, i've seen it all although we're literally thousands of miles apart. i can feel your persistent, passionate energy vibing all the way here hehee. you've grown a lot over the past year, you should adore it. you stuck to your goals and accomplished so many. i'm so extremely very amazingly proud of you, and it's your turn to be proud of yourself *sobs* i'm literally crying rn
