The social environment from which any individual grows has a lasting impact upon their formative development into the rest of their lives. My name is Kenneth Errol Jamison Jr. and growing up on the grounds of a mental institution has shaped who I am today to a large degree. In my style I am ever describing the grounds of Broughton Hospital, conveying what it was like living in close proximity to an otherworldly environment. I was born in Durham, NC. Since I was se7en I was raised in Morganton, NC, where I lived on the grounds for over two decades. My mother was a trained nurse anesthetist who found employment with the state of NC, in the Operating Room at Broughton Hospital in 1977. My father stayed in Durham and is now retired. My sister and I lived with my mother between Asheville, NC (Where my mother was born) and Morganton, in the mountains and foothills of the Appalachian Trail, from the time I was se7en years old...((O,o~

The things I remember most about my childhood are many situations revolving around growing up on the grounds of Broughton Hospital, a State Hospital for the Mentally Handicapped and Insane in Morganton, NC. Broughton Hospital was first opened in 1883, erected utilizing the Kirkbride architectural plan.~o,0))

Oh yeah. And I was born with and have lived with Synesthesia through it all. Don't know what Synesthesia is? That's OK. Neither did I until I stumbled across the term when I was 31. Look it up. It's VERY interesting stuff and(subliminal)REQUIRED READING ~O.0))... 

In laymans terms, I'm autistic. Or maybe it's schizophrenia. I know it's not a delusion or I wouldn't be able to describe it at all and it's definately not catatonic or I wouldn't even be talking about it.
 It's definitely a mania and not a depression and it's truly OCD because it dreams obssessively, non-stop, all the time...
