Finished final episode of COTE S3
Yk I didn't really like it, I was even watching it as 2x speed and only slowing down to parts that were supposed to be good ( most of the scenes were butchered to hell) and my favorite scene
Out of literally EVERYTHING
Was the graduation of Manabu. That was it. It was unfortunately shortened and some great dialogue was cut out but the scene was done so well especially Suzune with her new cut and how they hugged. It was great.
Everything besides that was kinda... Yeah.
Honestly the KiyoKei confession is one of my favorite scenes, even though Im not a KiyoKdi fan anymore, I still enjoyed it. The build up was okay, and made sense. But S3 cut out and butchered so much build up and delivered something very lackluster compared to the novel.
That isn't to say " The novel is better!!! " Or anything like that. As of today I still think the LN has fell off, and no longer something I look forward to.... Except...
Those small platonic/romantic KiyoSuzu scenes. Mhm. Me loves those indeed. Which leads me to my next point; ANIMATE THE KIYO SMILING AT SUZU SCENE IMMEDIATELY RN
and then I will happily drop any further seasons of the anime and novel ( unless more SuzuKiyo scenes are there) I highly doubt it though considering a cote season 4 is pretty unlikely IMO. It's been lackluster since S2 and S3, barely surviving with actually good scenes, and mostly enjoyed by people that never seen COTE before while people who have read the novel are constantly disappointed.
Honestly I just wish animation was better. And how the scenes were displayed. Idc if the story got reduced as long as it got decent animation, because most of the best scenes choice of presentation was really so.... Yeah.
