Mills grew up in Kentish Town, North London. She is the daughter of Labour MP Tessa Jowell and lawyer David Mills, and attended Acland Burghley School; there, she met Niomi McLean-Daley, better known as Ms. Dynamite, becoming friends and, "doing dodgy dance routines in assembly together."[2]

After graduating from Sussex University, Mills began working in a local pub in order to fund a continued interest in music on the side. After a steady string of collaborations with various musicians throughout the 2000s (including one with Dom Search from The Nextmen) she eventually got her real break touring with Leftfield in 2010.

She has worked extensively with Drum & Bass / Dubstep producer Breakage, scoring a UK top 40 hit with the track "Fighting Fire".

Other tracks released in 2011 include the singles "Vultures" and "Live For What I Die For", as well as a cover of The Cure's "A Forest" (of which Robert Smith himself has admitted he is a fan).

She has attracted interest from the press including a feature to run in i-D magazine.

Her debut album, titled "Twist of Fate" was originally set to be released on January 28, 2013, but due to her label's poor promotion of "For My Sins", the album has been pushed back and she is still writing and recording, with the help of Electronic band, Zero 7. Since her departure from Island Records, she has signed with Warner/Chappell Music. Her first release with this label is a free download of Sweet Love, an original song that incorporates lyrics from Anita Baker's song of the same name.

She has supported Scottish singer-songwriter Emeli Sandé on her Our Version of Events Tour, after performing alongside Sandé, Annie Lennox & Katy B at an EQUALS live concert. Mills released her fourth single "For My Sins" on September 14, 2012 and she is now preparing for the release of her debut album Twist Of Fate

Joscelyn Eve Stoker[1] (born 11 April 1987), better known by her stage name Joss Stone, is an English soul singer, songwriter and actress. Stone rose to fame in late 2003 with her multi-platinum debut album, The Soul Sessions, which made the 2004 Mercury Prize shortlist. Her second album, the similarly multi-platinum Mind Body & Soul, topped the UK Albums Chart for one week and spawned the top ten hit "You Had Me", Stone's most successful single on the UK Singles Chart to date. Both the album and single received one nomination at the 2005 Grammy Awards, while Stone herself was nominated for Best New Artist, and in an annual BBC poll of music critics, Sound of 2004[2] was ranked fifth as a predicted breakthrough act of 2004.[2] She became the youngest British female singer whose album topped the UK Albums Chart. Stone's third album, Introducing Joss Stone, released in March 2007, achieved gold record status by the RIAA and yielded the second-ever highest debut for a British female solo artist on the Billboard 200, and became Stone's first top five album in the United States and first non-top ten album in the United Kingdom.

Stone released her fourth album, Colour Me Free!, on 20 October 2009, which reached the Top 10 on Billboard. Stone released her fifth album, LP1, on 22 July 2011, which reached the Top 10 on Billboard. Throughout her career, Stone has sold 14 million albums worldwide, establishing herself as one of the best-selling artists of her time, best-selling soul artists of the 2000s and best-selling British artists of her time.[3] Her first three albums have sold over 2,722,000 copies in the United States, while her first two albums have sold over 2,000,000 copies in United Kingdom. She has earned numerous awards and accolades, including two BRIT Awards and one Grammy Award out of five nominations. She also made her film acting debut in 2006 with the fantasy adventure film Eragon.

Michael James Owen (born 14 December 1979) is a former English footballer who played as a striker for Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester United and Stoke City as well as the England national team. He is a regular pundit on BT Sport football coverage and sometimes appears on BBC's Match of the Day as a pundit. Since retiring from football he has become a successful racehorse breeder and owner.

The son of former footballer Terry Owen, Owen was born in Chester and began his senior career at Liverpool in 1996. He progressed through the Liverpool youth team and scored on his debut in May 1997. In his first full season in the Premier League he finished as joint top scorer with 18 goals. He repeated this the following year and was Liverpool's top goal scorer from 1997–2004 and gained his name as a proven goal scorer, despite a recurring hamstring injury. In 2001, Liverpool won a cup treble of the UEFA Cup, FA Cup and Football League Cup, and Owen was the recipient of the Ballon d'Or. He went on to score 118 goals in 216 appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool, and 158 goals in 297 total appearances. Regarded as one of the greatest Liverpool players, Owen came 14th in the "100 Players Who Shook The Kop" – an official Liverpool fan poll.[3] In 2004, Owen was named by Pelé in the FIFA 100 list of the world's greatest living players.[4]

Owen moved to Real Madrid for £8 million in mid-2004; he was frequently used as a substitute. He scored 13 goals in La Liga before returning to England the following season where he joined Newcastle United for £16 million. After a promising start to the 2005–06 season, injuries largely ruled him out over the next 18 months. After his return he became team captain and was the team's top scorer for the 2007–08 season. Newcastle were relegated in the 2008–09 season and Owen moved to Manchester United as a free agent. He spent three years at Old Trafford before joining Stoke City in September 2012.
