I hate it when people are mean to other people :(

Just_a_nobody-15

Like, how can people be nice to one person and then be mean to everyone else?

Y’all!

I hate to ask this of all my 18 followers but I have an English paper to write and I’m stuck. My counterclaim is that despite the Lunch Counter sit ins happening that racism in restaurants has still not stopped. I’m supposed to write a rebuttal to that. What does that mean?

I'm not great with English and all so sorry in advance,
rebuttal: When two people debate, one of them makes an argument, and the other follows with a rebuttal, which, plainly put, is the "no, you're wrong and this is why" argument. So you'd need solid evidence to back up your claim

            Counterclaim
the four parts of an argument: claims, counterclaims, reasons, and evidence. A claim is the main argument. A counterclaim is the opposite of the argument, or the opposing argument. A reason tells why the claim is made and is supported by the evidence.

Sorry I would have a better understanding of it if it wasn't midnight where I am. Im is probably no help ... sorry

So I was out today with my friend and her boyfriend and someone said something that made me want to go off. They said "Straight couples can't celebrate pride month".

Well just a newsflash to people who actually believe that:
1.) one or both of people you see as a “straight couple” could be pan/bi/poly/ace

2.) one or both of them could be trans or non binary

3.) you could be misgendering someone

4.) They could be going to celebrating to give moral support to a queer friend or family member who doesn't have anyone else to celebrate with

          5. They could be there because they support the cause.

          6. They could be there in memory of a loved one, don’t forget Pride used to be a memorial as well as a celebration. I know a good number of straight people who go to Pride to celebrate the lives of friends and family who have died because they want to remember them as they lived, happy and joyful and surrounded by a community that loved them.
