My name is I S Lahiri, but I mostly go by Romel. I have been telling stories to myself, weaving up intricate worlds inside my head, since I was a child.

At about 20, I set out to write a series that I would later come to hail as my foray into Mahabharata. After writing 4 of the 10 books, I abandoned the project. In retrospect, I was probably not mature enough to finish it. Now, 20 years later, a certain annoying brat dragged out this saga and forced me to return to rewriting this series.

In the mean time, I wrote a magnum opus called Neverland. This 7 parts science fiction story took me 7 years to perfect. In the end, I was too attached to it and its perfection to ever have it edited or published.

During the pandemic, I met with an accident which left my right arm in pieces. In excruciating pain and under the influence of morphine, I decided to write a story in my mother tongue, Bengali. A coming of age occult fantasy fiction, which is currently undergoing edits.

Last year, I wrote a political fiction revolving around cricket called The Vow. Now available on Amazon.

Here is a synopsis of the entire series, ONE:

Since the birth of Creation humans have been trying to decode the secrets of this universe. Through certain complex spiritual practices, a group of highly evolved beings, discovered all these answers. Knowledge is power and eventually they became the most powerful beings in all of creation. They were called Shidhyais. Eventually, there was formed two factions, one who tried to hide certain knowledge from the rest, knowledge that they believed would destabilize all Creation. And the other faction only sought for their knowledge to be complete.

War ensued between these all powerful beings, stretching across time and space and multiple universes. This war will eventually change the very history of our Universe, and rewrite human civilization as we know it.

Epilogue of Hermesh is the first book in the series One.
