I’ve been thinking of making two books.

One will be on how exactly to support minorities.
Another will be a book with a list of people who need support, petitions to sign, and minority-owned business to take a look at.

How many of you would be interested?

There are a few things that I want to say right now.

Above everything else, Rest In Peace Brandon Bernard. The justice system continuously fails us and you did not deserve that ❤️

Secondly, a lot of people have not been responding correctly. By people, I mean non-black people. A lot of you have the right intent but the wrong actions. So here’s a few things to help.

          1. Please check on you’re Black friends and followers right now. A LOT of them are hurting and not saying anything.

          2. On that note, stop telling Black people to “read the room.” Its is our room. If you see a Black person posting about something besides what is happening, leave them alone. It’s probably their way of coping with it. However, there is no excuse for you and you should continue to post about what is happening until it has pasted.

          3. Stop being afraid to refer to people as Black
Stop saying POC when you actually mean Black.
Stop saying African American when you actually mean Black. Black is not a dirty word. I am a Black person, call me what I am. I say this because there are a lot of people that, instead of saying “check on your Black friends” they are saying “check on your POC friends.” Black and POC are not interchangeable. Refer to us as what we are.

He was a Black man who was executed yesterday for being an accomplice to a crime he committed when he was a teenager, 20 years ago. Even though he didn’t have a major role in what happened, every though 5/7 of his jurors that are still alive said that he didn’t need to be killed, they still killed him.

4. I meant to say this a long time ago but change.org petitions do not work. Though they spread awareness, no change is actually being brought. I will link some actually websites that you should use on another day but for now, please stop spreading that website.

            5. Stop waiting for another Black person to die to care about Black people. You have the power and right to change things NOW stop waiting please, just stop.

            6. For the love of God, do not speak over Black people. This is our time, we are mourning. Listen to us, stop speaking, stop correcting us in a time like this. Stop giving your opinions when so many of us are crying right now.

Just a reminder that just cause someone has multiple pronouns (ex. he/they , she/they) doesn’t mean that you get to pick your favorite one and refer to them as only that. When someone has multiple sets of pronouns, that means that you should be using them ✨interchangeably✨

For example, if X person’s pronouns were he/they, I would say:
“Have you met X? He’s a super cool person. Yeah they’re literally so sweet and kind. Did you know that he can bake? You didn’t? Omg, you have to try their cookies.”

          or something along those lines

Just a reminder that thanksgiving is seen as a day of mourning to many Native American people and that we should respect the fact that many do not feel comfortable with the “celebration.”

The link below is a thread of some places to donate to & and small businesses run by Indigenous people that you should support,,

sorry i panic muted you,, anyways yeah a lot of Native people are uncomfortable w/ thanksgiving because they were killed and tortured on their own land and the story of Thanksgiving was/is used to cover it.
